Trying to feed a weak or unresponsive kid with a bottle is nearly impossible to do without having the little fella
inhaling some of the liquid into the lungs and setting up pneumonia. If they are chilled, we bring them inside and set up a heat lamp
over them. We put it high enough as not to cook them. We cover the eyes and body with towels and rub/message the body vigorously to get the circulation flowing again.
This is a page intended to help show how I tube feed a little goat. If done soon enough, they will usually
start to come around pretty quick. Pictures say a thousand words
so I've tried to put in enough, but not overdo it. I'm not an expert nor do I claim to be one at this. In fact
the little guy in this series did not make it. (Actually as time goes by, I've come to the conclusion that our 30
year old horse may have been in the stall with him that night and stepped on him.) He was found one cold winter morning laid out and was too chilled
to revive. But we gave it a good try.
